Project Manager :

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the activities of designated projects to ensure that the goals and objectives are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters. With guidance from department managers, you will review project proposals or plans to determine the scope, time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing the project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of the project. You will develop and implement project plans/methodologies for single discipline projects and establish work plans and staffing for each phase of the project, recruiting or assigning project personnel as necessary.  

You will also be responsible for directing and coordinating activities of project personnel to ensure that the project progresses on schedule and within the prescribed budget. Other duties include conducting safety meetings and training programs, generating and approving purchase orders, reviewing timesheets, and occasionally traveling as required. The role requires strong communication skills to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders, think creatively to manage project contingencies, manage teams across multiple offices and sub-consultants, and properly address and manage change.  

To be successful in this role, you must have 7-10 years of related experience, a Bachelor’s degree, and excellent communication, conceptualization, and project management skills. Proper licenses or certificates for that particular discipline are also strongly preferred. 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Review project proposals and plans to determine project scope, time frame, funding limitations, and available resources.
Develop and implement project plans and methodologies for single discipline projects.
Assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority to project staff.
Direct and coordinate project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget.
Review status reports prepared by project personnel and modify schedules or plans as required.
Prepare project reports for management, client, or others.
Develop and maintain client engagement to ensure satisfaction.
Provide technical advice and resolve problems with project personnel.
Coordinate project activities with government regulatory or other governmental agencies.
Conduct safety meetings and training programs to ensure safety requirements are met.
Generate and/or approve purchase orders, re-bills, credits, and review timesheets.
Occasional to moderate travel may be required. Other duties as assigned.
PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree required.
7-10 years of related experience, either internally or equivalent external experience and proven success managing projects.
Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively on all levels, internal and external.
Ability to conceptualize and think creatively.
Ability to apply effective use of project contingencies, both budgets and schedules.
Demonstrate ability to manage teams across multiple offices and with several sub-consultants.
Establish clear lines of communications within project team and with client for free flow of information.
Demonstrate intimate familiarity with client’s requirements, challenges, and key areas of interest for growth.
Demonstrate ability to properly address and manage change.
Proper license or certificate for that particular discipline strongly preferred.
