Guy Carpino.

Guy Carpino serves as the Managing Director at Akela, overseeing all electrical engineering tasks for the company from paper to completion.

As a kid, he had a keen interest in all things electrical, especially electronics, which was fostered by one of his grandparents as he grew up. This eventually led him to choose a career path in electrical engineering, where he also developed an interest in how things in the electrical code are changing. As a result, he now serves on the International Association of Electrical Inspectors board, where he educates electrical professionals and promotes electrical safety. His dedication to his work, his team, and clients allowed Guy to be one of the most-respected electrical engineers in the industry.

When discussing our company culture and where he sees Akela moving forward, Guy had the following to say: “We pride ourselves on retaining the best employees and having them stay with us for many years. This grows a culture of pride in your work, respect for each other, and respect for the industry.” He’s excited to expand that pride of work and dedication to premiere engineering with “our mechanical and plumbing brothers” as Akela.

Beyond work, Guy enjoys giving back to the community by being an ACE mentor, a National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) guest speaker, and a volunteer at a museum in North County. He would like to see us participate in more community events as a company and continue to give back to our community.
